Picture of Wall Murial on Old BuildingMy husband and I are often escaping to the nearby towns that don't have many citizens. There are certainly treasures to be found in the older towns - a lot of crumbling old buildings, ancient artitechture, antiques and signage such as the photo below. Someone had taken the incentive to paint windows and a door on the side of this old building. I quite like what they did and wanted to capture the image for a memory. The bottles were added amid post processing and I think they add interest to the photo. Notice how the door is offset to one side of the frame. This opens the picture and works better than if the door had been centered in the photo. Also, to the left of the one window rested a small air-conditioner which was quite unattractive. A hold had been cut into the wall and the air-conditioner inserted into the hole. I didn't choose to have that in the photo. See the shadows cast onto the door? These were the result of tall shrubs growing next to the wall murial. While I like the final result of the photo, the sun was harsh and I would have taken a more balance photo if the day had been overcast. Sometimes a polarizer will offset a flaw but I was traveling light on the day of this shot. This was taken with the Oly E-620 at 1/60s at ISO 200, F16.
